Na trojici velkoformátových obrazů se zobrazil sám autor, jak soustředěně vykonává tři zcela obyčejné činnosti. Díky několika prvkům, jako je symetrická kompozice triptychu, prudké scénické nasvícení a vlastně už samotné spojení triviálního námětu s médiem klasické malby, však scény působí velmi nezvyklým dojmem, takřka jako bychom přihlíželi nějakému magickému rituálu. Za pozornost stojí i samotné malířské kvality, kombinující uvolněnou iluzivně pojatou malbu se zvláštním detailem zcela plošně a hladce malovaného trička, což umocňuje zvláštní působení těchto obrazů.
