Největší vášní Luca Lesage je cestování, autostopem během studií zbrázdil většinu Evropy a část jeho tvorby je s tímto životním stylem pevně spojena. Tento low-budget přístup se odráží i v jeho dalších pracích. Pro instalaci Schlaaack, která v sobě vtipně kombinuje velkoměstské hledačství a revizi minimalismu, se Lesage rozhodl radikálně geometrizovat skupinu předmětů, které nalezl během svých procházek a cest. Instalaci doplňují autorovy fotografie, kresby a grafiky, které navazují na počátky turismu 19. století, kdy byl skicář běžnou proprietou umělecky založeného cestovatele. Lesageovy náměty jsou však zcela dnešní: propíchlé míče v ulicích Neapole, cestovní potřeby či dokumentace náhodných setkání.
