Dnešní Rumunsko je zemí plnou rozporů, pramenících z dosud nevyřešené komunistické minulosti i extrémních sociálních nerovností. Larisa Sitar si pro svůj „becherovsky“ pojatý soubor fotografií vybrala početnou skupinu domů, které si v severním Rumunsku stavějí lidé pracující většinu roku za hranicemi (převážně v jazykově spřízněné Francii) ze svých těžce vydělaných peněz. Celé vesnice plné těchto prázdných domů tak dokumentují jak okázalost, kterou chtějí tito emigranti stvrdit svůj sociální statut, tak i jejich bloudění mezi rodnou zemí a bohatším Západem.
